With people putting off marriage longer and longer and many even giving up the prospect, dating assumes a position that perhaps it was never intended. In that, brief, endless encounters with strangers can never build much of a foundation. So it is natural that people become (as they grow older) frustrated with the notion of dating. For someone in their thirties, who considers themselves attractive, normal and a good person; they have dated so much that it all seems to blend together. Faces and names change, but at some point they keep running into the same types.

Love: Let it Come

Often we’ve heard the stories of people meeting someone when they were not expecting to and usually in the most ordinary of places or social settings. Suzie hails a cab the same time Rick does, so they get in and share it. Soon they start talking, laughing and "Whammo" there’s magic in the air. Or Jim bumps into Ann in the frozen food section and drops his Salisbury Steak dinner. They look up, eyes meet; shy, playful smiles appear and soon the sparks go off, generating a heat that begins to defrost the very frozen goods that surround them. It is not that you should always be on the prowl, flirting with anyone who crosses your path, but simply be open to the small moments. For whether in love or any other aspect of life, it is good to nurture your curiosity.

Don't Miss Your Chance

So they next time someone invites you to a seemingly boring, mundane event, be it bird-watching, a Nascar race, a birthday party, bible study, don’t be so quick to refuse. Or something inside tells you to go into that hardware store or government building, do it, Mister or Missus Right might be standing right next to you.
